Lisa Hirayama

The Elle Flute Trio

LISA FORD HIRAYAMA studied the flute in Boston with Seta Der Hohannesian and at Oberlin College with Judith Bentley. Other teachers have included William Grass and Robert Willoughby. During her youth she spent three years playing in the Greater Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra as well as various Massachusetts all-state ensembles, pit orchestras for local community theatre productions, and the Lincoln-Sudbury Civic Orchestra.  

Lisa currently plays with the Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra and the Elle Flute Trio, and is a frequent sub in other local orchestras including the Rainier Symphony, Puget Sound Symphony, and Lake Union Civic Orchestra. She is an active member of the Seattle Flute Society, serving on its Board of Directors as Secretary for the 2011-2012 season. Lisa is employed at Shoreline Community College where she is an academic advisor for international students.
